Strip Bare wipes all Auras and Equipment from a creature for one white mana — one of the most mana-efficient ways to dismantle a Voltron threat in the game. It won't destroy the creature itself, but stripping a commander of Swiftfoot Boots, Lightning Greaves, and three Swords at instant speed is often the next best thing.
Format Analysis
Where it lives, where it can’t
| Format | Verdict |

| pioneer | not legal |

In Commander, Strip Bare earns its slot in any white deck that expects Voltron or heavy Equipment strategies — a single mana to un-equip and de-enchant a Sram, Senior Edificer or Rograkh build is an enormous tempo swing. In Pauper, where the card is legal and Aura-based aggressive decks see real play, it can blow out a Bogles-style gameplan for next to nothing. Legacy and Vintage both have access to it, but faster, more flexible interaction dominates those formats and Strip Bare rarely sees competitive play there. The card's ceiling is directly tied to how enchantment- and Equipment-heavy a given table or meta is.

Price Context
Current price
$0.11 bulk tier
At $0.11, Strip Bare is deep bulk — you're paying for cardboard and shipping, not the effect. Price stability is essentially guaranteed at this floor; there's no realistic scenario where a narrow white instant at common spikes.
