Stone Calendar card art
Stone Calendar cuts the cost of every instant and sorcery you cast by one generic mana — a permanent Jet Medallion and Ruby Medallion stapled together, for decks that actually want that. The catch is a five-mana artifact that does nothing the turn it lands, which is a steep ask compared to something like Sensei's Divining Top that earns its slot immediately.

Stone Calendar is legal in Commander, Legacy, Vintage, and Oathbreaker, and realistically only sees play in Commander. Legacy and Vintage have access to fast mana and cost-reduction effects that outclass a five-mana do-nothing artifact by a wide margin. In Commander, Stone Calendar is best in spellslinger decks that cast enough instants and sorceries per turn cycle to recover the mana investment quickly — the longer the game goes, the better it looks. Oathbreaker is technically an option, but the compressed game length makes the payoff harder to reach.

unknown tier

Pricing data for Stone Calendar isn't currently available in the index, so check Scryfall or TCGPlayer for a live figure. Given its narrow Commander niche and lack of competitive play, it tends to sit in bulk-rare territory — worth grabbing cheaply if the deck calls for it, but not a card to chase at a premium.
