Stitch in Time card art
Stitch in Time gives you an extra turn on a coin flip — and in the decks built to flip coins repeatedly, the 50/50 becomes a formality rather than a gamble. Edgar, King of Figaro and Okaun, Eye of Chaos // Zndrsplt, Eye of Wisdom both run it as core infrastructure, not a gamble; three mana for a probable extra turn is one of the best rates in those strategies.

Commanders with the highest synergy

Okaun, Eye of ChaosZndrsplt, Eye of Wisdom

Okaun, Eye of Chaos // Zndrsplt, Eye of Wisdom

92.3% of decks · synergy 0.86

Okaun, Eye of Chaos // Zndrsplt, Eye of Wisdom is the deck Stitch in Time was made for — every flip trigger draws a card off Zndrsplt and doubles Okaun's power, so a resolved extra turn chains into more flips, more draws, and a commander that's frequently lethal from a single swing.

02
Yusri, Fortune's Flame

Yusri, Fortune's Flame

78.9% of decks · synergy 0.72

Yusri, Fortune's Flame flips up to five coins on each attack, which means Stitch in Time can realistically trigger multiple times in a single combat step — the card slides directly into the engine rather than sitting beside it.

03
Lilah, Undefeated Slickshot

Lilah, Undefeated Slickshot

63.8% of decks · synergy 0.57

Lilah, Undefeated Slickshot wants instants and sorceries that generate outsized board impact, and Stitch in Time is exactly that when it connects — an extra turn attached to a spell that also gains prowess-style value off the cast.

04
Krark, the ThumblessSakashima of a Thousand Faces

Krark, the Thumbless // Sakashima of a Thousand Faces

30.9% of decks · synergy 0.24

Krark, the Thumbless // Sakashima of a Thousand Faces flips a coin on every spell cast, so Stitch in Time can get bounced back to hand, recast, and win the flip again — multiples of Krark compound the odds further.

05
Myra the Magnificent

Myra the Magnificent

25.0% of decks · synergy 0.19

Myra the Magnificent impulse-draws and casts spells with randomized effects, making Stitch in Time a high-upside target that both fuels and rewards the chaotic game plan she's built around.

Commander is where Stitch in Time earns its slot — extra turns are powerful in any format, but the coin-flip tribal infrastructure in EDH (Krark, Okaun, Yusri) makes the 50/50 feel like a formality rather than a liability. In Legacy and Vintage, the card is legal but functionally irrelevant; both formats move too fast and too consistently for a three-mana sorcery with a chance of doing nothing to compete with the available extra-turn options. Modern is a legal home on paper but the same problem applies at a slightly slower pace — deterministic extra-turn spells exist, and they don't ask you to flip anything. Stitch in Time belongs in Commander and almost exclusively in the coin-flip corner of it.

Price Context

Current price

$0.58 bulk tier

At $0.58, Stitch in Time is bulk despite a 90%+ inclusion rate in its best decks — supply is high enough to keep the floor low. It's a stable pickup that's unlikely to spike unless a new coin-flip commander dramatically expands the demand pool.
