Commander is the clear home for Starscape Cleric — multiplayer magnifies every drain trigger into triple the damage, and the density of life-gain commanders in the format gives it consistent, synergistic shells to land in. In competitive 1v1 formats like Modern and Pioneer it's too slow and too dependent on a critical mass of life-gain to compete with what those formats are doing on turn three.
