Stand or Fall splits an opponent's attacking creatures into two groups at the start of combat — one group must attack, the other can't — giving you hard control over which threats reach you before damage is even dealt. The cost is real: it only works on opponents who are already swinging at you, so it does nothing until someone commits to an attack.
