Squirrel Mob is a combat threat that scales directly with your token count — in a dedicated squirrel deck it routinely hits 5/5 or larger before any pump spells. Chatterfang, Squirrel General and Camellia, the Seedmiser both flood the board with squirrel tokens as a matter of course, which makes Squirrel Mob a payoff that costs nothing extra to enable.
Best Commanders
Commanders with the highest synergy

Camellia, the Seedmiser
Camellia, the Seedmiser triggers on every creature spell that has another creature enter with it, which means squirrel tokens accumulate fast — Squirrel Mob turns that critical mass into a swinging threat that closes games the token army alone cannot.

Chatterfang, Squirrel General
Chatterfang, Squirrel General doubles every token you make, so a single spell can spike Squirrel Mob's power by four or more in a single turn, making it an immediate must-answer.

Hazel of the Rootbloom
Hazel of the Rootbloom rewards you for running high squirrel density, and Squirrel Mob slots in as both a tribal member and a late-game finisher that gets larger the more Hazel's engine has been running.

Squirrel Mob is a Commander card in practice — the squirrel-token synergy it demands exists almost exclusively in EDH, where dedicated tribal commanders can build around it. In Legacy and Vintage it's legal but irrelevant; a vanilla 2/2 for three with a conditional pump has never been close to competitive in those formats. Modern legality doesn't change the picture: three mana for a creature that needs a board state to be threatening is well below the rate those formats demand. Stick to Commander, specifically the squirrel shells where Squirrel Mob belongs.

Current price
$3.80 cheap tier
At $3.80, Squirrel Mob sits in budget-staple territory — affordable enough to include without deliberation in any squirrel build. Demand is narrow and format-specific, so the price is stable rather than rising; it's a fair rate for a niche tribal card with no competitive demand pulling it up.
