Spinehorn Minotaur is a 2/4 with double strike that costs four mana — solid stats for a creature that can end games in combat if you can pump it even once. The catch is that double strike on a body this small only matters if your deck is actively stacking power buffs or equipment, otherwise you're paying four for a blocker.

In Commander, Spinehorn Minotaur earns a slot in Minotaur tribal decks and in any build that leans on equipment or auras to turn double strike into a kill condition — one Colossus Hammer or Grafted Exoskeleton later and it's closing out games. Outside that niche it's too underpowered for a 100-card singleton format where the competition at four mana is brutal. In Pauper, double strike at common is genuinely rare and the 2/4 body survives most of the format's removal, making Spinehorn Minotaur a real threat in aggro or Bogles-adjacent strategies. Legacy and Vintage have no use for it — the power ceiling is just too low for formats where every slot is under maximum pressure.

Pricing data for Spinehorn Minotaur isn't currently available, but as a common with narrow constructed applications it almost certainly sits under a dollar and is easy to find in bulk. Pick it up for pennies if it fits your Minotaur tribal or equipment list — there's no financial risk here.
