Sphere of Grace reduces damage from white sources to zero for each enchantment you control — in a dedicated enchantress shell, that's a hard lock on any white-heavy aggressor at the table. The payoff is real but narrow; outside of enchantment-dense decks, it's a do-nothing.
Format Analysis
Where it lives, where it can’t
| Format | Verdict |
|---|---|
| commander | legal |
| legacy | legal |
| modern | not legal |
| pioneer | not legal |
| standard | not legal |
| vintage | legal |
| pauper | not legal |
| oathbreaker | legal |
Sphere of Grace is a Commander card through and through — the format's long games give enchantment-based decks enough time to stack up the pieces that make the damage-reduction clause punishing. In Legacy and Vintage, where it's technically legal, the effect is far too slow and situational to see play. Commander is the only format where Sphere of Grace earns a slot, and even there it belongs in a dedicated enchantress or pillow-fort list, not as a generic white include.

Price Context
Current price
$0.20 bulk tier
At $0.20, Sphere of Grace is firmly bulk — grab it out of a dollar bin rather than paying shipping for a single copy. Demand is too narrow to expect any price movement, but the low floor means there's no reason to hesitate if the deck wants it.
