Soul Net card art
Soul Net pays you one life every time a creature dies — yours, your opponents', anyone's — for the one-time cost of one mana and one life to deploy. In death-trigger-heavy builds, particularly anything running Trudge Garden where life gain directly produces tokens, that passive accumulation adds up faster than it looks.

Soul Net is legal in Commander, Legacy, Vintage, and Oathbreaker, but its home is Commander — the multiplayer death volume across four players makes it genuinely competitive with purpose-built life gain pieces. In Legacy and Vintage, one life per creature death is too slow and too marginal to merit a slot when those formats end on turns one through three. Oathbreaker can support it in the right shell, but the smaller game size limits the payoff. Stick to Commander if you're sleeving Soul Net up.
