Soul Kiss card art
Soul Kiss puts a recurring tax on one creature — the enchanted permanent can't untap unless its controller pays one mana each upkeep, a soft lock that compounds fast in multiplayer when opponents are already stretched thin. The one-mana cost makes it trivially easy to land early, and in black it slots into stax and control strategies that want to slow the table down without spending removal.

In Commander, Soul Kiss is a cheap, permanent headache aimed at whatever the table's most dangerous creature is — an opposing commander, a combo piece, or an engine that needs to tap and untap repeatedly. Pauper is where it sees the most competitive interest, since one-mana repeatable tap-lock effects are strong in a format with limited enchantment removal. Legacy and Vintage have access to it, but those formats move too fast for a soft lock that opponents can pay through; it's a casual card in those contexts. Soul Kiss is legal in Oathbreaker as well, where a one-drop enchantment that hamstrings a key creature can punch above its weight given the smaller life totals and tighter card pools.

Pricing data for Soul Kiss isn't currently available, so check Scryfall or your preferred retailer for a live number. Given that it's a narrow common-style effect with limited competitive demand, it almost certainly sits in bulk or near-bulk territory — pick it up without hesitation if the strategy calls for it.
