Soratami Cloudskater

Soratami Cloudskater sees virtually no play in Legacy or Vintage, where a 1U 1/1 that loots for additional mana and lands can't compete with the raw power of those formats. Pauper is the more realistic competitive home — commons-based blue decks that care about the graveyard or need filtering at common rarity at least give it a look, though it rarely makes cuts there either. Commander is where Soratami Cloudskater has the most legitimate role: Naban, Dean of Iteration, Inalla, Archmage Ritualist, and other Wizard-tribal commanders that double enter-the-battlefield or activated triggers can turn one loot into two, making the math suddenly reasonable. Outside of Wizard synergies, the card is strictly outclassed by staples like Faithless Looting or Frantic Search in any format that allows them.
