Commander is the natural home for Signal the Clans — instant-speed creature access at two mana is real, and redundancy-built creature packages turn the random selection from a bug into a feature. In Modern and Legacy it competes with Chord of Calling, Green Sun's Zenith, and Finale of Devastation, all of which put the card directly onto the battlefield rather than into hand; Signal the Clans rarely wins that comparison outside niche instants-matter shells. Pioneer has fewer tutors, so the card sees occasional fringe play in creature-combo decks that need redundancy across three specific pieces.
