Sibling Rivalry forces each player to sacrifice creatures down to the one with the highest power, which can gut go-wide boards while leaving the biggest threat standing — a narrow but occasionally backbreaking effect. The catch is that it doesn't touch players who are already at one creature or fewer, and unlike Dual Casting it offers no redundancy, so the impact is entirely meta-dependent.

In Commander, Sibling Rivalry occupies a specific niche: it's a one-sided-ish board compression tool that punishes token strategies and wide creature builds while typically sparing the biggest threat at each table. Outside Commander, the card is legal in Legacy, Modern, Pioneer, Pauper, Vintage, and Oathbreaker, but sees essentially no competitive play in any of them — those formats either close games too quickly for a three-mana sorcery with conditional impact to matter, or have cleaner answers available. Sibling Rivalry is a Commander card through and through, and even there it earns a slot only in decks that consistently field one powerful creature and need help clearing out opposing token armies.

$0.20 bulk tier
At $0.20, Sibling Rivalry is deep bulk — you're paying for cardboard, not scarcity. Demand is too narrow and casual for that price to move meaningfully in either direction.
