Servant of Nefarox is a 2/2 with exalted for three mana — a rate that was mediocre at release and has only fallen further behind. Unless you're stacking multiple exalted triggers, this slot does more work as almost any other three-drop.
Format Analysis
Where it lives, where it can’t
| Format | Verdict |
|---|---|

| legacy | legal |
| modern | legal |
| pioneer | not legal |
| standard | not legal |
| vintage | legal |
| pauper | legal |
| oathbreaker | legal |
Servant of Nefarox sees essentially no competitive play in any format it's legal in. In Commander, exalted synergizes narrowly with voltron strategies, but three mana for a 2/2 with one exalted trigger is well below the curve when Rafiq of the Many and similar commanders demand efficient threat density. Pauper is the only format where exalted strategies occasionally surface, but even there Servant of Nefarox competes against cheaper and more impactful commons. Legacy and Vintage have zero interest in it.
