Sedraxis Alchemist bounces a nonland permanent when it enters — free, unconditional, and repeatable if you have a way to keep replaying it. Under Rooftop Storm, that loop costs nothing, turning a single Zombie into an engine that clears every threat on the board.

Sedraxis Alchemist is a Commander card first and foremost — the Zombie type and the ETB bounce both scale in value as the game goes long and the board gets cluttered. In Pauper it's legal and the ETB is legitimately useful, but the three-mana slot is crowded and blue-black tempo decks rarely want a 2/2 body at that cost. In Legacy and Vintage the card is legal but irrelevant — the power ceiling of those formats makes a bounce-on-a-stick a non-starter outside of very specific Zombie tribal shells. Commander is where Sedraxis Alchemist earns its keep, and only in dedicated Zombie decks that can replay it; outside that archetype, cut it.
