Security Blockade lands an Knight creature token and turns the enchanted land into a damage-prevention engine, but three mana for a 2/2 and a conditional fog effect on one land is too slow and too narrow for most tables. Dedicated pillow-fort or Aura-matters builds are the only places it earns a slot.

Security Blockade is a Commander card through and through — the 40-life format and multiplayer board states are the only context where draining one combat damage per attack is worth three mana and a card. In Legacy, Modern, and Pioneer it's simply unplayable; those formats move too fast and efficiently for a do-nothing enchantment that doesn't affect the opponent's hand, board, or graveyard. Oathbreaker shares enough of Commander's DNA that pillow-fort strategies can find marginal use for it there, but it still sits well outside the competitive range.

Price Context
Current price
$0.06 bulk tier
At $0.06, Security Blockade is deep bulk — you're paying for cardboard, not power. Don't expect that to change; niche defensive enchantments at this price point stay there.
