Season of the Burrow card art
Season of the Burrow puts a Rabbit Warren token-generation engine into play for three mana, then keeps feeding it with a triggered tutor every time a Rabbit enters — the whole thing snowballs fast. The cost is real: you need a critical mass of Rabbit payoffs for the engine to matter, and outside tribal shells it's a blank.

Finneas, Ace Archer is the deck Season of the Burrow was built for — Finneas rewards flooding the board with small creatures, and the Burrow's recursive token generation means you're never short of fuel for his ping ability.

Season of the Burrow is legal across every major Constructed format but in practice lives almost exclusively in Commander, where the game length gives its cumulative token engine time to compound. In competitive 60-card formats — Modern, Pioneer, Standard — a three-mana enchantment that generates incremental value over multiple turns is too slow against decks that close by turn four. Legacy and Vintage are even less hospitable; the power ceiling there is simply too high for a tribal synergy piece with no immediate board impact. Commander is the one format where the Burrow reliably earns its slot, and only in dedicated Rabbit tribal builds at that.

Price Context

Current price

$2.58 cheap tier

At $2.58, Season of the Burrow sits in the cheap tier — a low-risk inclusion for any Rabbit tribal build without meaningful financial commitment. It's a narrow tribal enchantment with a small target audience, so don't expect the price to move significantly in either direction.
