Savage Punch kills a creature and triggers ferocious if you have a power-4-or-greater creature — at instant speed for two mana, that's a fight spell that punches above its cost. Outside of decks that reliably field large creatures, it's a conditional removal spell, and Maarika, Brutal Gladiator is exactly the commander that makes the condition trivially easy to meet.
