Sanctuary Smasher is a Limited card that never quite crossed over into Constructed relevance, and that's still true. In Commander, the combination of haste, trample, and cycling makes it passable in Boros or Rakdos aggro builds that want cyclers for graveyard or trigger synergies — think Anikthea, Hand of Erebos or cycling-matters shells. Outside of those niche homes, a vanilla 6/3 that dies to every removal spell in the format isn't pulling weight at five mana. In Modern and Pioneer it has no realistic home; faster formats demand more from five-drop creatures than raw stats.
