Sanctifier en-Vec shuts off entire graveyard strategies the moment it hits the battlefield — black and red cards simply stop functioning in graveyards while it lives. The cost is that it does nothing without those colors present and dies to the same removal any two-drop does, but at that price of entry, the upside is enormous.

In Commander, Sanctifier en-Vec is a role-player in hatebear and stax shells — it blanks Dockside Extortionist recursion, turns off Reanimate targets, and punishes any deck leaning on Underworld Breach or Sevinne's Reclamation. Modern is where it sees the most action, functioning as a sideboard hammer against Living End, Dredge, and Rakdos Scam. Legacy has enough graveyard density that Sanctifier en-Vec earns sideboard slots there too, though white creatures face stiffer competition for those slots. Vintage is legal but the card is too fragile to matter in a format where Moxen and fast combo dominate before a two-drop can stabilize.

Price Context
Current price
$0.51 bulk tier
At $0.51, Sanctifier en-Vec is firmly bulk — you're paying almost nothing for a card that can single-handedly invalidate an opponent's game plan. That price is unlikely to spike dramatically given its niche role and modest reprint risk, so picking up copies now for Commander sideboards or Modern sideboard testing costs almost nothing.
