Revered Unicorn card art
Revered Unicorn gains you one life per upkeep — every player's, not just yours — which adds up faster in a four-player pod than it looks on paper. The floor is still a 2/3 for three mana that does nothing the turn it enters, which keeps it out of competitive lists.

Format Analysis

Commander is the only format where Revered Unicorn earns serious consideration: three opponents mean three extra life triggers per rotation, making the cumulative gain meaningful in lifegain-matters decks helmed by commanders like Oloro, Ageless Ascetic or Ayli, Eternal Pilgrim. Outside Commander, the card is legal in Legacy and Vintage but has never seen play there — a vanilla-ish three-drop that gains life incrementally is nowhere near the power threshold those formats demand. In Oathbreaker it's technically legal but faces the same problem: the multiplayer upkeep trigger that justifies the slot simply doesn't fire as often in a smaller game.

Price Context

Current price

$0.36 bulk tier

At $0.36, Revered Unicorn is deep bulk — easy to pick up as a casual inclusion without any budget concern. It's unlikely to climb in price given the narrow use case and lack of competitive demand, so don't expect the copy in your binder to appreciate.
