Relive the Past card art
Relive the Past returns all artifact and enchantment cards from your graveyard to the battlefield — a mass recursion effect that can swing a game outright. The catch is the cumulative cost: you exile it plus one artifact or enchantment per permanent returned, which makes it a one-shot that punishes you hard if your board gets wiped again; in All Will Be One builds and other synergy-dense artifact or enchantment decks, the ceiling is high enough that the exile clause barely registers.

In Commander, Relive the Past is a late-game bomb in dedicated artifact or enchantment builds — the kind of card that ends games when you untap with a full graveyard after a sweeper. Competitive formats like Modern and Legacy have faster clocks and more efficient grave hate, so the sorcery speed and exile-to-pay cost make it too slow for serious consideration there. Pioneer and Standard give it slightly more room since the card pool is narrower, but it still wants a critical mass of artifacts or enchantments to justify the slot. Oathbreaker shares Commander's multiplayer context and similarly rewards high-density synergy decks. Outside Commander, Relive the Past is a casual pick at best.

Price Context

Current price

$0.15 bulk tier

At $0.15, Relive the Past sits firmly in bulk territory — you're paying almost nothing for a potentially game-ending recursion spell. Bulk rares with narrow but powerful applications tend to stay cheap indefinitely, so don't expect this to spike unless a new Commander precon or popular deck puts it in the spotlight.
