In Commander, Relentless Pursuit competes with a deep bench of green card-draw and ramp, and it mostly loses — Cultivate and Kodama's Reach do more at the same cost, and Harmonize draws three without the land rider. It finds a real home in Pauper, where the commons pool is shallow enough that a clean two-for-one at three mana is genuinely competitive. In Modern, Legacy, and Vintage, Relentless Pursuit is legal but functionally absent — the formats move too fast for a sorcery-speed selection spell with no immediate board impact.
