Ravaging Riftwurm is a 6/6 for three mana — one of the best rate bodies in green — with the catch that it vanishing means it removes its own counters and exiles itself in short order. Run it for the raw power, but know you're on a clock.

Ravaging Riftwurm sees essentially no competitive play in Legacy, Modern, or Vintage despite being legal in all three — a 6/6 that exiles itself is a hard sell when those formats demand permanence or immediate impact. In Commander, it occasionally shows up in Vorel of the Hull Clade or other proliferate shells that can reset the vanishing counters and keep the body alive indefinitely, which is the only context where Ravaging Riftwurm graduates from novelty to real threat. Outside of counter manipulation, it's a three-turn clock on your own card, and Commander games rarely end that fast.
