Rats' Feast exiles any number of cards from a single graveyard for X black mana, making it a flexible, scalable answer to graveyard strategies. It's narrow by design — dead in a meta without graveyard decks, essential in one that has them.

In Commander, Rats' Feast earns a slot whenever your table regularly fields reanimator, dredge, or flashback-heavy decks — the variable X lets you nuke an entire graveyard or surgically hit just the pieces that matter. Its limitation is that it only hits one graveyard at a time, so against a table of three opponents it may feel underpowered compared to mass exile like Bojuka Bog. In Pauper, Rats' Feast is one of the more efficient common-legal graveyard hate options in black, and the instant speed keeps it live against Exhume and similar. Legacy and Vintage have access to stronger hate, but Rats' Feast can find fringe play in black shells that need redundancy at common or uncommon parity.
