Rampaging Hippo is legal in Commander, Legacy, Modern, Pioneer, Vintage, Pauper, and Oathbreaker, but sees virtually no competitive play in any of them. In Commander it finds its most forgiving home — cycling synergy commanders like Gavi, Nest Warden or Unpredictable Cyclone decks can use it as a cheap cycling trigger that also threatens a 5/5 body when needed. In Pauper it's technically castable but outclassed by more efficient threats at every point on the curve.
