Raiders' Wake drains an opponent for two every time they discard — and in a dedicated discard shell, that meter runs fast enough to close games. Aclazotz, Deepest Betrayal turns every attack into a forced discard, which means Raiders' Wake is rarely idle once it hits the board.

Commanders with the highest synergy
Aclazotz, Deepest Betrayal
Aclazotz, Deepest Betrayal forces discards on every successful attack, so Raiders' Wake converts each hit into a two-life drain on top of the card disadvantage — the enchantment is effectively a second damage trigger stapled to the combat step.

Tinybones, Trinket Thief
Tinybones, Trinket Thief rewards you whenever an opponent discards at end of turn, and Raiders' Wake stacks a life-loss trigger on every one of those same discards, doubling the punishment from a single hand-stripping effect.

Tinybones, Bauble Burglar
Tinybones, Bauble Burglar generates value off opponents discarding throughout the turn cycle, and Raiders' Wake amplifies that by turning each discard event into a drain — the two cards share the same trigger condition and compound cleanly.

Kroxa, Titan of Death's Hunger
Kroxa, Titan of Death's Hunger forces a discard every time it enters or attacks, and Raiders' Wake converts each of those forced discards into a two-life tax that accelerates the clock Kroxa is already putting on the table.

Winter, Misanthropic Guide
Winter, Misanthropic Guide punishes opponents for holding cards and pushes discard-heavy lines, making Raiders' Wake a natural fit to translate each discarded card into a life-loss trigger that applies pressure even when the board is stalled.

Raiders' Wake is a Commander card through and through — discard synergies scale with the number of opponents, and three targets tripling every trigger is what makes the enchantment worth three mana. In older constructed formats like Legacy and Modern it's legal but unplayed, because one-on-one discard strategies want faster, more direct payoffs and can't afford a three-mana enchantment that does nothing the turn it lands. Pioneer is the same story. Commander is where Raiders' Wake earns its slot: a multiplayer table means a single Liliana activation drains the table for six, and dedicated discard commanders turn it into a consistent life drain engine from the midgame onward.

Price Context
Current price
$0.51 bulk tier
At $0.51, Raiders' Wake is bulk — easy to pick up in trade binders or as a throw-in. The price reflects narrow applicability outside Commander, but inside a discard deck it punches well above its cost.
