Pyroconvergence turns every multicolored spell into a free Shock, and in a deck casting five or more gold spells per game that damage adds up fast. The five-mana enchantment is slow to land, but once it's out the incremental burn requires zero additional investment.
Format Analysis
Where it lives, where it can’t
| Format | Verdict |
|---|---|

| legacy | legal |
| modern | legal |
| pioneer | legal |
| standard | not legal |
| vintage | legal |
| pauper | not legal |
| oathbreaker | legal |
Pyroconvergence is a Commander card — full stop. The format's multicolored-heavy builds, slower pace, and 40-life totals give it enough time to accumulate meaningful damage across a full game. In Legacy, Modern, and Pioneer it's strictly outclassed: five mana for a do-nothing-until-next-spell enchantment is unacceptable in formats where the game can end on turn three. Vintage has the raw power density to exploit it in theory, but the competition for enchantment slots at that price point is brutal. Oathbreaker is a reasonable home if the planeswalker and signature spell are both multicolored, though the compressed game length makes it a fringe inclusion.

Price Context
Current price
$0.10 bulk tier
At $0.10, Pyroconvergence is deep bulk — pick it out of a common box rather than buying a single. It's unlikely to spike; the effect is too slow for competitive formats and too low-impact for Commander staple status.
