Prismatic Lens card art
Prismatic Lens enters, taps for colorless to pay its own equip — effectively free — and then fixes any color you need on every subsequent tap. For Jhoira, Weatherlight Captain, it's a historic permanent that replaces itself with a card draw trigger the moment it resolves.

Commanders with the highest synergy

Jhoira, Weatherlight Captain

Jhoira, Weatherlight Captain

21.5% of decks · synergy 0.19

Jhoira, Weatherlight Captain draws a card off every historic permanent, so Prismatic Lens pulls double duty: it triggers the draw engine on arrival and then bankrolls the blue and red pips her spell-heavy builds demand.

02
Chiss-Goria, Forge Tyrant

Chiss-Goria, Forge Tyrant

21.6% of decks · synergy 0.19

Chiss-Goria, Forge Tyrant's affinity-adjacent cost reduction rewards artifact density, and Prismatic Lens fills the artifact slot while also converting the colorless mana his permanents generate into whatever color the rest of the hand needs.

03
Ovika, Enigma Goliath

Ovika, Enigma Goliath

19.5% of decks · synergy 0.17

Ovika, Enigma Goliath is a five-color spell commander that burns through colored pips fast, and Prismatic Lens smooths that strain by converting any source into the specific color the next spell requires.

Prismatic Lens is a Commander staple first — in a format where color identity locks you into a fixed palette and games run long enough that early mana fixing compounds, a two-mana rock that produces any color is always doing real work. Pauper is the other format where it shows up meaningfully, slotting into slower artifact synergy builds and multicolor piles that need budget fixing at common. In Legacy and Vintage it's legal but outclassed — Mox Diamond, Ancient Tomb, and Chrome Mox make two-mana rocks uncompetitive in those environments. Modern and Pioneer players have access to better fixing at the same price point, so Prismatic Lens doesn't make the cut there either.

Price Context

Current price

$0.24 bulk tier

At $0.24, Prismatic Lens sits firmly in bulk territory — you'll find it in any dollar-bin box at your local game store. Bulk artifacts with genuine utility tend to stay cheap indefinitely, so there's no urgency to stock up, but no reason to hesitate at this price either.
