The catch is the Wormfang Newt clause: she exiles herself when she enters, and you don't get her back until that token dies, so if the token sticks around you've lost your commander or a deck slot permanently.

Princess Yue is a Commander card through and through — the token's mana production and the death-trigger loop scale with the graveyard-and-sacrifice synergies that tribal and aristocrats commanders reward, and the three-mana slot fits neatly into midrange curves.
