Planeswalker's Favor lets you pay 2 and name a card type at sorcery speed to make each opponent put cards from the top of their library into their graveyard until they hit one that matches — a mill-plus-information effect that scales with how many opponents don't have that type on top. The cost in tempo and setup makes it a niche card, not a staple.
Format Analysis
Where it lives, where it can’t
| Format | Verdict |
|---|---|
| commander | legal |
| legacy | legal |
| modern | not legal |
| pioneer | not legal |
| standard | not legal |
| vintage | legal |
| pauper | not legal |
| oathbreaker | legal |
Commander is the only format where Planeswalker's Favor earns real consideration, purely because three opponents multiply the chances that at least one library gets milled meaningfully before hitting the named type. In Legacy and Vintage it's legal but sees no play — the effect is too slow and too low-impact for those formats' threat density. Oathbreaker is the one other shell where it's worth a look, since a mill-or-graveyard-hate commander can put the named type to work on both sides of the table.

Price Context
Current price
$0.48 bulk tier
At $0.48, Planeswalker's Favor sits firmly in bulk territory, and that price reflects its narrow demand. It won't climb without a new commander that makes milling opponents by card type suddenly broken — don't hold your breath.
