Pitiless Fists turns any creature into a removal threat by stapling +2/+2 and the ability to fight — on the same card, at instant speed if the creature has flash. The three-mana equip cost is the ceiling on how good this gets, and in most shells that cost is just too steep to pay repeatedly.
Format Analysis
Where it lives, where it can’t

In Commander, Pitiless Fists fits narrowest into decks that already want to fight — Grismold, the Dreadsower or Halana and Alena, Partners shells where fight is a recurring plan rather than an occasional bonus. Competitive Commander ignores it entirely; three mana to equip is a full turn of activity in a format where games are decided by turn four or five. In creature-dense Standard or Pioneer, cheaper fight spells and more flexible equipment crowd it out. Legacy and Vintage don't touch Pitiless Fists — the format speed makes this look like a draft card, which is exactly where it performs best.

Price Context
Current price
$0.12 bulk tier
At $0.12, Pitiless Fists is deep bulk — the kind of card that ends up in a dollar box before anyone notices. Bulk equipment rarely holds value, and nothing about this card's power level or Commander demand suggests that changes.
