Pinecrest Ridge card art
Pinecrest Ridge enters tapped and costs a card to produce colored mana — that double cost makes it one of the weakest dual-land options available. Run it only if you've already exhausted every better green-red dual and still need the color fixing.

In Commander, Pinecrest Ridge sits at the bottom of the fixing hierarchy — fetchable only by name, enters tapped, and demands a discard to produce anything other than colorless mana, so it competes poorly against even budget alternatives like Cinder Glade or Game Trail. Legacy and Vintage have access to the full dual land suite, making Pinecrest Ridge invisible in those formats outside of highly specific budget or singleton constraints. Modern offers enough affordable two-color lands that this never sees play there either. It's legal in Oathbreaker, but the same logic applies: the opportunity cost is too high.

Price Context

Current price

$0.24 bulk tier

At $0.24, Pinecrest Ridge is bulk — you're not paying much, but you're also not getting much. The price reflects its power level accurately, and there's no reason to expect it to appreciate given how many cleaner dual lands exist at comparable or lower cost.
