Pharika, God of Affliction
Legendary Enchantment Creature — God
Indestructible
As long as your devotion to black and green is less than seven, Pharika isn't a creature.: Exile target creature card from a graveyard. Its owner creates a 1/1 black and green Snake enchantment creature token with deathtouch.

Pharika, God of Affliction is a recursive engine that converts graveyard creatures into 1/1 deathtouch Snake tokens — threatening on both offense and defense — for just two mana per activation. The cost is political: your opponents share in the token production, so you need a deck that either ignores the downside or turns it into fuel, the way Aphelia, Viper Whisperer or Eternal Scourge shells do.

Aphelia, Viper Whisperer
Aphelia, Viper Whisperer is the natural home: her triggered abilities care about Snakes and creatures entering from unusual zones, so every Pharika, God of Affliction activation that churns a graveyard into a deathtouch body is pulling double duty for the engine.

Commander is where Pharika, God of Affliction actually earns her slot — the graveyard is always full by mid-game, the token production scales with creature count at the table, and her indestructibility makes her nearly impossible to remove once devotion is online. In Legacy and Vintage she's legal but sees no meaningful play; the formats move too fast for a five-mana god whose tokens don't immediately affect the board. Pioneer and Modern give her the same cold reception — deathtouching 1/1s at two mana per copy is not a competitive rate when those formats demand consistent threats on turns one through three. Oathbreaker is the one fringe exception worth mentioning: as a planeswalker-support piece in a graveyard-centric shell, Pharika can generate enough chump blockers to protect a walker, though she's still firmly a niche pick there.

Current pricing data for Pharika, God of Affliction isn't available in this snapshot, so check Scryfall or TCGPlayer for the live number. As a mythic rare god with a narrow Commander niche, she typically sits in the budget-to-mid range — worth picking up if you're building the archetype, but not a card that commands a premium outside it.
