Orim's Prayer puts a life-gain-per-attacker engine on the board for two mana — every creature swinging into you funds your life total instead of draining it. It's a niche pillow-fort piece, not a staple, but in the right lifegain commander deck it earns its slot.
Format Analysis
Where it lives, where it can’t
| Format | Verdict |
|---|---|
| commander | legal |
| legacy | legal |
| modern | not legal |
| pioneer | not legal |
| standard | not legal |
| vintage | legal |
| pauper | not legal |
| oathbreaker | legal |
Commander is the only format where Orim's Prayer is worth serious consideration — multiplayer means multiple opponents swinging, which means the enchantment scales up in ways it simply cannot in a duel. In Legacy and Vintage it's technically legal but laughably outclassed by faster, more resilient life-gain and pillow-fort options. Oathbreaker gives it a sliver of viability in the right +1/+1-counter or lifegain shell, but the two-player default shrinks its ceiling. Treat Orim's Prayer as a Commander-only card.

Price Context
Current price
$0.50 bulk tier
At $0.50, Orim's Prayer sits firmly in bulk territory and has no meaningful price pressure pushing it higher. It's an easy include on budget — the cost is negligible — but don't expect the price to move regardless of demand.
