Oread of Mountain's Blaze

In Commander, Oread of Mountain's Blaze earns its slot specifically in Agatha of the Vile Cauldron builds, where its activated ability scales across an entire board rather than a single creature. Outside that shell, it's too fair to compete — Commander games end quickly enough that a two-mana 1/3 loot-for-one doesn't generate the kind of card advantage that justifies the slot. In Pauper, where commons can define entire archetypes, the Oread sits at the fringes — looting is good but one-for-one at sorcery-restriction speed rarely makes the cut in a format with aggressive clock pressure. Legacy, Vintage, and Pioneer have access to faster, more redundant draw and discard engines, so Oread of Mountain's Blaze doesn't crack those lists.
