Commander is where Odric, Master Tactician does his best work — the format's multiplayer politics make one-sided combat declarations especially punishing, and the wide creature strategies that trigger his ability are everywhere in white. In Legacy and Vintage he's technically legal but completely absent from competitive play; four mana for a combat-restriction effect that requires three other attackers is far too slow and conditional against those formats' threat density. Oathbreaker is a reasonable home if the signature spell supports a go-wide aggro shell, though the smaller game size means his window to matter is narrow.
