Odric, Blood-Cursed

Commander is where Odric, Blood-Cursed actually gets to stretch — token synergies, keyword soup strategies, and aristocrats shells all want the Blood tokens he produces, and the three-mana cost means he lands before the game has stabilized. In competitive non-rotating formats like Legacy and Vintage he has no path to a maindeck slot; the effect is too slow and too reliant on a creature-heavy board state that those formats don't provide. Modern and Pioneer are similarly hostile — he's a fragile three-drop whose payoff requires setup, and both formats can answer him before the trigger does meaningful work. Stick to Commander unless you're building a very specific casual kitchen-table deck in one of the 60-card formats.
