Noble Vestige enters tapped and produces one mana of any color — a fixed-cost, no-upside mana rock that competes in the most crowded slot in Commander. At three mana for one colored mana, it's strictly outclassed by Arcane Signet, the Talismans, and even Fellwar Stone, and there's almost never a reason to run it over those.
Format Analysis
Where it lives, where it can’t
| Format | Verdict |
|---|---|
| commander | legal |
| legacy | legal |
| modern | legal |
| pioneer | not legal |
| standard | not legal |
| vintage | legal |
| pauper | legal |
| oathbreaker | legal |
In Commander, Noble Vestige is a fringe inclusion at best — the format's access to dozens of better two- and three-mana rocks means it only shows up when a deck is intentionally exhausting every color-fixing option or building around an enters-the-battlefield theme. In Pauper, the common restriction narrows the competition, and Noble Vestige can fill out a mana-fixing slot in a pinch, though Prophetic Prism and Chromatic Star offer more value for the same cost. Legacy and Vintage have no interest in a tapped, do-nothing artifact. Oathbreaker mirrors Commander's calculus — passable only when you've already run the better options.

Price Context
Current price
$0.06 bulk tier
At $0.06, Noble Vestige is deep bulk — the kind of card that shows up in draft chaff piles. That price reflects its power level accurately, and there's no pressure trajectory that would move it.
