Necromancer's Magemark gives every enchanted creature and every other creature you control with an Aura on it +1/+1 and the ability to return from the graveyard to your hand — a recursive engine stapled to a three-mana Aura. K'rrik, Son of Yawgmoth decks and Aura-stacking black strategies treat it as a soft loop that keeps your board replenishing itself, but outside those shells it's too narrow to justify the slot.

Necromancer's Magemark is a Commander card — the recursion trigger only compounds in a 40-life, multiplayer game where creatures die repeatedly and Aura-stacking commanders can exploit it turn after turn. In pauper it's technically legal but competes in a format that demands efficiency; three mana for a conditional +1/+1 and a delayed return-to-hand isn't competitive there. Legacy and vintage have no interest in this effect at any price. Commander is the one format where the Magemark earns its slot, and even there only in dedicated Aura or graveyard-loop strategies.
