Moorland Rescuer puts a pile of Human bodies back into play the turn you need them most — but that payoff costs six mana and requires you to have already lost them, making it a reactive finisher rather than a proactive engine. In Hofri Ghostforge shells it doubles up with spirit tokens, and Kyler, Sigardian Emissary turns every returned Human into another counter pump, so the payoff scales hard with the right commander.

Kyler, Sigardian Emissary
Kyler, Sigardian Emissary runs Moorland Rescuer because every Human that returns from the graveyard immediately stacks more +1/+1 counters onto the whole team — a single rescue trigger can rebuild a board that was wiped and make it larger than it was before.
Format Analysis

Moorland Rescuer is a Commander card through and through — the singleton format gives it room to shine as a silver-bullet recovery piece in Human tribal or aristocrats builds. Legacy and Vintage allow it, but those formats move too fast for a six-mana do-nothing-until-you're-behind effect to earn a slot. Moorland Rescuer is locked out of Modern, Pioneer, Standard, and Pauper, which means its entire competitive surface area is Commander and Oathbreaker. In Oathbreaker it's plausible in a Human-dense white shell, though the smaller starting hand size makes the high mana cost sting more.

$0.32 bulk tier
At $0.32, Moorland Rescuer sits firmly in bulk territory — easy to pick up as a throw-in trade or a dollar-bin find. Bulk rares with narrow tribal applications rarely climb without a reprint-driven spike, so treat this as a cheap role-player, not a hold.
