Commander is where Mindlock Orb actually matters — the format runs on tutors, and a three-mana enchantment that blanket-denies them pulls real weight against Demonic Tutor, Vampiric Tutor, and fetch lands simultaneously. Outside Commander, the card sees essentially no competitive play: Legacy and Vintage have faster, more resilient ways to disrupt libraries, and the effect doesn't line up cleanly against those formats' threat density.
