Metathran Transport gives any creature you copy with Kiki-Jiki, Mirror Breaker — or any other token generator — a free evasion upgrade by making it unblockable until end of turn for a single blue mana. The cost is real: you're spending a card slot and mana activation on what amounts to a narrow combat trick that does nothing without creatures already in play.
Format Analysis
Where it lives, where it can’t
| Format | Verdict |
|---|---|
| commander | legal |
| legacy | legal |
| modern | not legal |
| pioneer | not legal |
| standard | not legal |
| vintage | legal |
| pauper | not legal |
| oathbreaker | legal |
Metathran Transport is legal in Commander, Legacy, Vintage, and Oathbreaker — but Legacy and Vintage have no interest in a 2/3 that trades a blue mana for one creature's evasion when those formats can close games through far more efficient means. Commander is the only realistic home, specifically in token-copy strategies that want a cheap, repeatable unblockable enabler. Even there, it sits on the fringe: most blue decks would rather run Whispersilk Cloak or Rogue's Passage for permanent evasion that doesn't demand an activation every combat.

Current price
$0.13 bulk tier
At $0.13, Metathran Transport is pure bulk — you're not paying for the card, you're paying for shipping. That price is stable because demand is essentially zero outside of very narrow combo-adjacent brews, so don't expect movement in either direction.
