Masked Admirers is a 3/2 that draws a card when it enters, then puts itself back on top of your library whenever you cast a creature spell — recursive card advantage stapled to a body. The catch is thebuyback cost on the return trigger, which adds up fast if you're replaying it every turn.
Format Analysis
Where it lives, where it can’t
| Format | Verdict |
|---|---|
| commander | legal |
| legacy | legal |
| modern | legal |
| pioneer | not legal |
| standard | not legal |
| vintage | legal |
| pauper | not legal |
| oathbreaker | legal |
Commander is the only format where Masked Admirers earns a real roster spot — long games and creature-heavy strategies give the recursion engine room to pay off over many turns. In Legacy and Vintage it's strictly outclassed: Lurrus of the Dream-Den, Recurring Nightmare, and raw card-draw spells do the same job cheaper and faster. Modern has enough efficient value creatures that a three-mana 3/2 with a conditional buyback doesn't make the cut. Oathbreaker is legal but the 20-life clock compresses games too much for the engine to fully spin up.

Price Context
Current price
$0.19 bulk tier
At $0.19, Masked Admirers is deep bulk — zero barrier to pickup for any green creature deck that wants recurring card draw. Bulk rares with narrow applications tend to stay in this range indefinitely, so don't expect price movement unless a pushed elf or insect commander sends demand spiking.
