Mangara's Equity

Enchantment

As this enchantment enters, choose black or red.
At the beginning of your upkeep, sacrifice this enchantment unless you pay {1}{W}.
Whenever a creature of the chosen color deals damage to you or a white creature you control, this enchantment deals that much damage to that creature.

Mangara's Equity card art
Mangara's Equity lets you redistribute damage dealt to your creatures back onto attacking creatures — a white combat trick that punishes go-wide aggro and alpha strikes alike. The payoff is real, but the triple-white activation cost and enchantment-speed setup make it too slow and color-intensive for most competitive Commander tables.

Mangara's Equity is legal in Commander, Legacy, Vintage, and Oathbreaker, but sees virtually no play in any of them. In Commander, the effect is situationally interesting in white lifegain or pillow-fort shells, but the triple-white activation is a significant ask in multi-color decks and the sorcery-speed enchantment doesn't protect against the attack that kills you. Legacy and Vintage have no interest — those formats end before Mangara's Equity's reactive game plan ever matters. Oathbreaker is the only place a mono-white control build could theoretically squeeze value out of it, and even there it's a fringe consideration at best.

Price Context

Current price

$0.19 bulk tier

At $0.19, Mangara's Equity is deep bulk — the price reflects near-zero competitive demand. It holds no meaningful value and is unlikely to move unless a Commander precon or set reprint sparks sudden interest in niche white combat tricks.
