Lost in Memories lets you look at the top four cards of your library and put one into your hand — raw card selection at sorcery speed for three mana. That rate is too slow for competitive tables, but any commander that rewards spell-casting or cares about what's on top of the library will take it.
Format Analysis
Where it lives, where it can’t
| Format | Verdict |
|---|---|
| commander | legal |
| legacy | legal |
| modern | not legal |
| pioneer | not legal |
| standard | not legal |
| vintage | legal |
| pauper | not legal |
| oathbreaker | legal |
Commander is the only real home for Lost in Memories — it's legal in Legacy and Vintage but three mana for a single card of selection doesn't clear the bar in those formats. In Commander, it slots into blue spellslinger and draw-matters builds where every instant and sorcery counts toward a payoff, and the scry-adjacent effect of seeing four cards makes whiffing on a key piece less punishing. Oathbreaker is legal too, and the tighter 58-card consistency pressure makes card selection more meaningful there than in the average 99.

Price Context
Current price
$0.57 bulk tier
At $0.57, Lost in Memories sits firmly in bulk territory — the kind of card you pull from a box rather than order deliberately. Bulk rare pricing is stable by definition, so there's no reason to expect movement in either direction.
