Liliana, Death's Majesty enters at five mana, immediately mills two cards and puts a Zombie token on the board, then threatens to reanimate any creature from your graveyard the following turn — that's a planeswalker that generates value the moment it resolves. She's slower and less explosive than Liliana, Heretical Healer, but she doesn't need a creature death trigger to get online, and she pulls her weight in any black deck that wants bodies in or out of the graveyard.

Liliana, Heretical Healer
Liliana, Heretical Healer decks run Liliana, Death's Majesty as a curve-topper that does exactly what the deck wants — fill the graveyard, make Zombies, and threaten a reanimation — while also enabling the Liliana-flipping plan by giving you another nontoken creature to sacrifice.

Temmet, Naktamun's Will
Temmet, Naktamun's Will wants the largest, most threatening Zombie tokens it can find, and Liliana, Death's Majesty supplies a free 2/2 each turn while also reanimating finishers that Temmet can copy or embalm into even bigger threats.

Disa the Restless
Disa the Restless rewards aggressive self-mill and graveyard density, and Liliana, Death's Majesty feeds both at once — milling two cards every turn while reanimating the Lhurgoyf creatures Disa wants in play.

The Scarab God
The Scarab God already converts enemy graveyards into Zombie tokens, and Liliana, Death's Majesty accelerates that plan by stocking your own graveyard with creatures The Scarab God can reanimate or simply producing a free Zombie each turn to trigger his drain ability.

Wilhelt, the Rotcleaver
Wilhelt, the Rotcleaver scales on Zombie count, and Liliana, Death's Majesty is a consistent Zombie factory — a token per turn, plus the occasional reanimated creature that can itself be sacrificed to Wilhelt for another decayed Zombie.
Format Analysis
Where it lives, where it can’t
| Format | Verdict |
|---|---|
| commander | legal |

| modern | legal |
| pioneer | legal |
| standard | not legal |
| vintage | legal |
| pauper | not legal |
| oathbreaker | legal |
Commander is the clear home for Liliana, Death's Majesty — five mana is an acceptable rate in a 40-life format where a planeswalker that sticks for two activations has done its job, and graveyard-based black strategies are among the most popular archetypes in the format. In Pioneer and Modern, she competes against faster threats and a more punishing removal environment; five mana is a lot to ask when opponents can answer her before she ultimates, and she rarely sees competitive play in those formats. Legacy and Vintage are effectively out of the question — the raw power ceiling there makes her look glacial. Oathbreaker is a reasonable fit if she's your signature spell's enabler, but she's not a common oathbreaker pick herself.

Current price
$0.57 bulk tier
At $0.57, Liliana, Death's Majesty is bulk — a five-mana planeswalker with a relevant ability suite priced at less than a coffee because supply from a wide print run far outstrips demand. That's good news for brewers: she slots into any Zombie or reanimator build with essentially no budget friction, and there's no strong price-pressure case for her climbing out of the bulk tier anytime soon.
