Lifespark Spellbomb card art
Lifespark Spellbomb turns any land into a 3/3 creature until end of turn — that's the engine piece that makes Earthcraft go infinite when you have enough mana to loop it. The catch is you're spending one mana to animate and one to crack for a card, so outside of a dedicated combo shell it's doing very little work.

Lifespark Spellbomb is legal in Commander, Legacy, Modern, Vintage, Pauper, and Oathbreaker, but it sees meaningful play in almost none of them. In Commander it exists entirely as a combo enabler — specifically in Earthcraft shells where animating a land to generate infinite mana or loops is the point. In Pauper and Legacy the card is simply too narrow: one mana to temporarily animate a land doesn't line up with any competitive strategy, and the cantrip doesn't compensate for a card slot. Modern and Vintage have no context where Lifespark Spellbomb is the right tool. Treat this as a Commander-only pickup unless you're building a very specific Earthcraft combo deck.

Price Context

Current price

$0.12 bulk tier

At $0.12, Lifespark Spellbomb is deep bulk — the price reflects how few decks actually want it. It's stable at this floor because the card has a real combo application, but demand is narrow enough that it won't climb unless Earthcraft strategies spike in popularity.
