Life's Finale wipes the board and then rifles through an opponent's library to bury their three best creatures — all for six mana. That graveyard-stuffing rider is the whole reason to run it over a cheaper wrath, and in The Mimeoplasm decks it's effectively a tutor stapled to a Wrath of God.

The Mimeoplasm
Life's Finale does exactly what The Mimeoplasm wants: it clears blockers and simultaneously loads an opponent's graveyard with three hand-picked creatures, giving you a stacked menu of +1/+1 counters and abilities to copy the moment your commander hits play.
Format Analysis
Where it lives, where it can’t
| Format | Verdict |
|---|---|
| commander | legal |
| legacy | legal |
| modern | legal |
| pioneer | not legal |
| standard | not legal |
| vintage | legal |
| pauper | not legal |
| oathbreaker | legal |
Life's Finale is a Commander card first and foremost — the political dimension of choosing which opponent loses their best creatures, combined with graveyard synergies that thrive in multiplayer, is where it earns its slot. In Legacy and Vintage it's legal but irrelevant; six mana for a board wipe doesn't come close to competing with Toxic Deluge or Damnation in those formats. Oathbreaker gives it some breathing room if your planeswalker strategy leans on reanimation, but Commander is the only format where Life's Finale is the correct answer to a real question.

Price Context
Current price
$1.36 cheap tier
At $1.36, Life's Finale sits comfortably in budget-wrath territory — you're getting a unique effect for the price of a draft pick. Demand is steady enough from graveyard and reanimator Commander builds that the floor is unlikely to drop further.
