Liberated Livestock

Creature — Cat Bird Ox

When this creature dies, create a 1/1 white Cat creature token with lifelink, a 1/1 white Bird creature token with flying, and a 2/4 white Ox creature token. For each of those tokens, you may put an Aura card from your hand and/or graveyard onto the battlefield attached to it.

Liberated Livestock card art
Liberated Livestock enters and immediately replaces itself with three permanent types across three bodies, making every sacrifice outlet and reanimation engine happy to see it. The six-mana cost is real, but Nim Deathmantle loops and similar engines treat that price tag as a feature, not a bug.

Commander is where Liberated Livestock actually lives — the three-body ETB scales well with sacrifice synergies, token doublers, and infinite loops that need a cheap creature to keep entering the battlefield. In Legacy and Vintage it's legal but competes in formats that don't slow down to appreciate a six-mana 2/2 split into farm animals, so it won't see a slot there. Oathbreaker is the one other format worth mentioning: signature spell recursion and commander-dependent combo shells can exploit Liberated Livestock in much the same way Commander decks do, just at a faster clock.

Price Context

Current price

$0.33 bulk tier

At $0.33, Liberated Livestock is bulk — easy to throw in a sacrifice deck without a second thought. Bulk rares with genuine combo utility tend to stabilize rather than crater further, so picking up copies now costs essentially nothing.
